Cathodic Protection Design & Engineering

K2 Corrosion provides full-service cathodic protection design and engineering services. In order to provide a fully operational and cost-effective cathodic protection system design, our engineers and technicians may perform pre-design surveys that consist of soil resistivity testing, current requirement testing, interference testing, and equipment location identification. Analyzing the available data, our engineers provide high quality engineering design documents including material specifications, design calculations, site plans, and installation detail drawings. Effective cathodic protection systems can be installed on new or existing structures. Structures requiring cathodic protection may include:

  • Transmission and distribution pipelines
  • Plant or facility piping
  • Well casings
  • Aboveground or underground storage tanks
  • Elevated storage tanks
  • Pilings
  • Bridges or concrete reinforcing steel
  • Clarifiers or water treatment vessels
  • Sewage lift stations or water booster stations
  • Heat Exchangers
